OUR TWO SELF-CATERING APARTMENTS
'SUNNYCROFT': Bungalow style apartment
'SUNNYCROFT' is a South facing apartment with two separate bedrooms ideal for a family of four or for those who have difficulty with stairs.
The apartment opens onto the open plan lounge equipped with two sofas, French television, English free to view satellite television with a built in DVD/CD player along with some DVDs, a radio and a selection of books. The kitchen/diner adjacent to the lounge is fully equipped; table and chairs, fridge/freezer, a microwave, a gas oven with four rings, gas kettle, electric kettle, electric coffee machine, electric whisk, cutlery, crockery and pans etc.
The back bedroom contains two single bunk beds (90 cm x 190 cm); the master bedroom has a double bed (140 cm x 190 cm).
There are two small steps leading to the en-suite bathroom with bath/shower, toilet and wash basin.
Sunnycroft is fully centrally heated with thermostat controls for Winter lets and fans provided for Summer lets.
'PICARDIE': Three storey apartment
'PICARDIE' a 'tourelle' (little tower), is a three storey, South facing apartment ideal for a couple but also for two or three people, as the lounge can used as a second bedroom.
The ground floor comprises of a hall leading to the large and airy kitchen, which is equipped with a table and chairs, an easy chair, fridge/freezer, a microwave, a gas oven with four rings, gas kettle, electric kettle, electric coffee machine, electric whisk/blender, cutlery, crockery and pans etc.
The bathroom is also situated on the ground floor with bath/shower, toilet and wash basin.
The lounge is on the first floor, complete with two sofas and French television, English free to view satellite television, a video player along with some videos, a radio/cassette/CD player and a selection of books.
The bedroom is on the top floor with a ceiling fan, a double bed (140 cm x 190 cm), an easy chair and stunning views of the Pyrénées. This is also a good vantage point from which to watch the varied and abundant wildlife.
Picardie is fully centrally heated with thermostat controls for Winter lets and a fan provided for Summer lets.
Each self-catering apartment has exterior table and chairs, the use of two separate barbecue areas, salt water swimming pool with solar shower, sun loungers and sun umbrellas, a separate laundry room, a games room and free internet access.
Both the apartments are equipped with a vacuum cleaner, an ironing board and iron, a hairdryer and we supply you with washing up liquid and sponges.
Bed linen is included and changed on a weekly basis, but we do not supply towels or tea towels unless you have previously arranged with us.
'Sunnycroft' and 'Picardie' are situated next to each other, and although separate and self-contained, they would be suitable to rent for a small group of up to seven people.
We operate a no pets and no smoking policy in both of our apartments.
Although we are rurally located, the village of Simorre, (4 km) has all amenities.
Here you will find a baker, a butcher, "Le Bouche à Oreille" - an internet bar/restaurant, "La Guingettte" - an ephemeral restaurant, a small super market, a small bio grocery shop, a tourism office, two hairdressers, a massage parlour, a computer/phone shop, a post office (open Monday to Friday, mornings only), an ATM machine, a 24 hour filling station, two estate agents, a museum plus a mountain bike base with which we work in conjunction.
There is a small market, 'marché de producteurs' at Simorre every Friday from 16:00 to 19:00.
Every Saturday there is a pizza van, 'Les pizz'amis' at Simorre from 18:00.
